Paper Submission



Authors are requested to follow the following guidelines for their camera-ready paper:

  • Papers should describe original, previously unpublished work, not currently under review by another conference, workshop, or journal.
  • Authors are invited to submit full papers including the abstract, figures and references. Papers should include the title, authors' name and affiliations, and an abstract. Papers must not exceed 8 single-spaced and two-column pages using at least 10 point size type on 8.5 * 11 inches pages.

Authors are invited to submit their original contributions (written in English) in PDF format through the JEMS (Journal and Event Management System) at : https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/giis2009.

B. Preparation & Uploading of Final Camera-Ready (Due Date May 17, 2009)


Authors of all the accepted Technical Session Papers must submit the camera-ready version of papers electronically. Please submit the camera-ready version at our online submission system: https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/giis2009.


Please strictly follow the given instructions while preparing your camera ready version:

  • Each submission will be limited to 8 pages including the abstract, figures and references. Papers should include the title, authors' name and affiliations. Papers should follow the IEEE 2-column style using at least 10 point size type on 8.5 * 11 inches pages (Please respect the correct margins).
  • For complete details on formatting guidelines please follow carefully the IEEE conference style available at (For homogeneity among all papers, please use the A4 template): http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/pubservices/confpub/AuthorTools/conferenceTemplates.html.
  • All authors must also complete and sign a copy of IEEE Copyright Form. A scanned copy of this one should also be submitted through online submission system.

Final Manuscripts are to be submitted in IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF format. Please follow the following steps:

  1. Create your manuscript as specified in the template provided. Please note that the maximum number of pages per manuscript is restricted to 8.
  2. Proof read and check layout of paper.
  3. Go to IEEE PDF eXpress Website (http://www.pdf-express.org/)
  4. Create IEEE PDF eXpress account (The conference ID is : giis09x)
  5. Use IEEE PDF eXpress to convert your source file into IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF(s) or check the compatibility of the PDF file you created. The site contains extensive instructions, resources, helpful hints, and access to technical support.
  6. Submit your converted PDF file online. Please note that PDF Xpress only creates or check the PDF files for you, and you should still submit the converted file at our online submission system: https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/giis2009
  7. Please scan your signed IEEE copyright transfer form and upload it to JEMS.

All authors are required to attend and present their paper(s).
"IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference."
